MORU Coffee is proud to announce that we have partnered with two SE Denver small businesses starting this week! While some parts of Denver have a coffee shop on every block, not so for southeast Denver, and Michael Brown has filled that void since 2009 with his iconic and incredibly busy independent gathering spot, Sojourners, located on the SW corner of Holly and Florida. Sojourner’s team of experienced baristas will be pulling espresso shots with MORU ESCURO, our single-origin Brazilian varietal, starting Monday, February 6. Since you can’t live on MORU Coffee alone, Sojourners also provides locally-made pastries and breakfast burritos (Scott's favorite!) in addition to made-to-order panini sandwiches. Sojourners supports the local poetry, music, and artist community with gallery showings and open mic nights. Additionally, MORU Coffee and Sojourners will be teaming up to offer coffee education in the near future. Be sure to fill out a short online survey and tell us about your coffee interests. Come check out Sojourner’s great relaxing atmosphere and ask for a cup of MORU Coffee!
Sometimes a great cup of MORU Coffee just begs a handmade French pastry, and Les Delices De Paris can fill that need. Located on the east side of Holly, just south of Leetsdale (600 S Holly St #101), Christelle and Gerard Donat have transplanted their mouthwatering French delights to our neighborhood. From croissants to quiches, each item is crafted in the tradition of French pastry. They are now exclusively serving MORU ESCURO for espresso and cappuccino Tuesday through Saturday. Ken is partial to the chocolate eclairs, which make an excellent accompaniment to his post-workout cup of MORU Coffee!
MORU Coffee is continually tasting and roasting new varieties at the roastery. This week, we have cupped a number of Columbian coffees. We have refined our TROIS roast to bring out the complex flavors of cocoa, wine, and berries, and are offering two new coffee selections on our website. SAMBROSA is a decaf coffee from Peru and ESCURO is our offering from Brazil. As always, if you order by phone or on the website and you are in Denver, we will deliver your MORU coffee free of charge.
