Happy New Year!
We hope that you are having a great start to your new year and surviving the recent winter blast that we experienced! The cold, snowy weather is a perfect time to enjoy a hot cup of MORU Coffee. Here at the roastery, we have been working on roasting a perfectly delicious Peruvian decaf coffee that will be available for purchase this weekend! This coffee is slightly smoky while exhibiting notes of blueberries and sweet honey. It is decaffeinated using the Swiss Water decaffeination process. Additionally, this week we successfully cupped coffees from Peru, Guatemala, and Columbia. MORU Coffee will soon be offering a delicious coffee from Columbia, blending a Peruvian coffee to create a 50/50 half-caff blend, and creating an Espresso Blend.
During the holiday, Scott had the opportunity to visit a warmer climate! In Mexico, he visited a local roastery. Check out the vintage Diedrich roaster that they use. This roaster is much smaller than our Joper, but their local coffee drinking community certainly appreciates fresh roasted coffee.
